The busling markets of Srinagar are the best place to shop for Pashmina shawls, traditional kashmiri handicrafts, dry fruits and world famous saffron.
Gulmarg Situated at an altitude of 2730 meters and Surrounded by dense forests of tall conifers, Gulmarg is known for unparalleled natural beauty and is rated as one of the matchless tourist spots of the world. It is famous for its Golf hikes and boasts of a beautiful highland golf course.
Day 1: Srinagar
Upon arrival at Sriangar, you will be met by Yatra representative at the airport who would escort you to your houseboat and help you in Check in. Afternoon visit the important sights of Srinagar City - magnificent Shankaracharya Temple and the beautiful Mughal Gardens overlooking the placid lakes of Srinagar. Overnight stay at houseboat/Hotel Grand Mumtaz.
Day 2: Srinagar
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the hotel and proceed for a full day excursion trip to Sonmarg. Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold) Visited less frequently by tourists, It is a quiet alpine retreat surrounded with sycamore, silver birch, fir and pine trees and the last halt on the Kashmir side for the drive from Srinagar to Leh. It is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lakes. Afternoon drive back from Sonmarg to Srinagar, overnight stay at the houseboat/Hotel Grand Mumtaz
Day 3: Srinagar
After breakfast in the morning, proceed for a excursion to Pahalgam and en-route visit Saffron fields of Pampora, see the beautiful countryside, lots of rice fields and the ruins of the Lord Vishnu temple of Awantipura. Later, continue your drive to Pahalgam through the pine forest, the confluence of the streams flowing from the river Lidder and Sheshnag Lake, which are famous for their scenic beauty. Optional One can enjoy Horse ride at Pahalgam. There are many places of interest around Pahalgam. The undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine is a perfect picnic spot. In Evening drive back to Srinagar . Overnight stay at the houseboat/ hotel Grand Mumtaz.
Day 4: Gulmarg
After breakfast, proceed for a picturesque drive to Gulmarg. Gulmarg (“Meadow of Gold”)was discovered as a tourist destination by the British in the 19th century.. Optional One can enjoy Gondola ride or Horse ride at Gulmarg. Gulmarg’s newly constructed gondola lift from high above Gulmarg, through pine-clad slopes is truly exhilarating. From Gulmarg, a pony track leads upwards to Khilanmarg, Kangdori seven springs, a couple of hours by pony longer on foot. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gulmarg.
Day 5: Srinagar
After having an early breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive down to Srinagar. Afternoon is free for your leisure activities. Stay overnight at the houseboat
Day 6: Srinagar
In morning, enjoy a soothing and relaxing Shikara ride on the lake. Later, you will be transferred to Srinagar airport on time to board flight to back home.
